After failing to get noticed for her gospel singing, Katy Hudson rebranded herself as Katy Perry and set the pop world alight in 2008. First single 'Ur So Gay' caught the attention of internet bloggers, followed up by 'I Kissed a Girl' which went straight in at Number one across the world. One of the biggest artists in the world today, Perry became the first artist in history to spend 52 consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 with her second album Teenage Dream.
