Welsh singer Marina Lambrini Diamandis rose to fame when she came second in the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, just behind Ellie Goulding. Her stage name is the translation of her Greek surname and is said to be a reference to her fans. She has a broad appeal by mixing keyboard led ballads with new wave style songs. Singles 'Hollywood' and 'I Am Not A Robot' were both top 40 hits in 2010, earning her the Best UK & Ireland Act award at the MTV EMAs.
