The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is the leading UK animal welfare charity, responding to and campaigning for animals in need since 1824. 

It's our vision to work for a world in which all humans respect and live in harmony with all other members of the animal kingdom. We’re best known for our rescue and re-homing work with cats and dogs, but we respond to all animals in need, not just other pets but also wildlife, farm animals and laboratory animals.

Through all of our activities we take steps and strides towards our vision every day - thanks to you. We receive well over a million enquiries from the public each year, and we rely on your amazing support to make the difference - we can’t do it without you!  

We work tirelessly to rescue domestic animals and wildlife. Our wildlife centres rehabilitate animals who can be returned to the wild, we work with the government and public to prevent cruelty and our dedicated vets and mobile clinics enable us to reach pets who might otherwise go untreated. Also, we can prosecute those who neglect the law, on behalf of defenceless animals.
